 Dalt Vila transforms itself into a medieval market on the second weekend of May. Thousands of people stroll through the streets where the upper classes lived and revive the customs of the Middle Ages. The remembrance of the past lives in harmony with avantgarde art exhibits.
 The major medieval festival
In the 16th Century, King Felipe II converted the ancient walls of Ibiza into the best defended fortress in the Western Mediterranean. The fortified site has conserved its layout since the Renaissance and is the scenario of a major Medieval Fair which gathers Ibiza citizens and tourists in a spectacular outdoor event which revives that age. |
