Santa Eulalia river beach |
It is situated some 14 km from Ibiza and 0.5 km from the town of Santa Eulalia.
How to get there: This is to be found along the town’s promenade, where the river meets the sea. You can get there on foot, by bicycle or car from the centre of the town.
Description: This is a tongue of sand carried by the river. Length: 350m. Width: 10m. Substratum: It is formed by two white, fine-grained sand inlets, the sand having been carried by the river. The inlets are separated by a stone jetty. Bed: Sandy areas alternate with sections of gravel, rocky sectors and underwater vegetation. As far as the gradient is concerned, it is quite abrupt, reaching a depth of 1m. only 7m. from the shoreline and a depth of 2m. at 15m. out to sea. Panoramic features: This spot offers the opportunity of making interesting explorations of the banks of the river where it runs down to meet the sea. See more photos |
