It is situated some 13.5 km from Ibiza and 9 km from San Jose.
How to get there: On the road to Cala Jondal (Jondal Cove) take the turning that you encounter on the left before getting to the same, and then follow the signposts. On the San Jordi to Es Cubells road there is a left turn some 2 km before reaching the latter. Take this turn which leads to Es Torrent. The last section of the access is a sloping dirt track in quite bad condition, which makes passage a little difficult. You can get there by bicycle or car.
Description: This is quite a short, peculiar cove. It is narrow, closed-off and surrounded by typical island vegetation. The atmosphere is somewhat humid due to the presence of a stream. Length: 100m. Width: From 10m. to 15m. Substratum: Natural, fine-grained sand. Bed: Sandy areas with some rocky sections. The gradient is gentle and is quite safe for bathing up 30m. out. Panoramic features: The coastal scenery is quite exceptional. The surrounding area is covered with interesting vegetation. |
