On Ibiza, there are also sailing schools that organise courses for adults and children, and many competitive events are organised on its waters, including the "Salt Route", which is an emblematic regatta that crosses from Barcelona to Ibiza at Easter, bringing a multitude of yachts who participate every year; and the "International Sailing Week for Cruisers", that is usually organised in Sant Antoni in the last week of October.

It is also possible to go on trips around the island with one of the many private companies that offer this service. We highly recommended this activity because it offers you the opportunity to get to know the island from offshore.

As on all the Balearic Islands, Ibiza has ideal conditions for other water sports such as underwater diving (the island has 14 diving centres), waterskiing and canoeing. There are specialised centres that programme underwater diving outings to see the beautiful seabeds, abound with colourful Mediterrean species. Windsurfing is another water sport that has many followers.

In the high season, it is also possible to go out on waterskiing trips from some beaches, accompanied by experts. Normally, these trips leave early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the sea is calmer and skiing conditions are at their best.
