Santa Eulalia, Ibiza Its river, the only one on the Balearic Islands, has always been connected to the history and development of this municipality.

Santa Eulalia, Ibiza A sea of calm

Although nowadays the water hardly flows, the river used to make neighbouring land the most fertile on the island. Because of the river, was built to provide the only access to Eivissa. The bridge still stands today and has provided local inspiration for the origin of some wonderful tales.

Santa Eulalia del Río is the township of peace & calm and family tourism. Its culinary proposal is as broad as it is exquisite.

Other towns

Discover charming villages like Sant Carles, with the Las Dalias flea market, or Santa Gertrudis, in the centre of the island. A beautiful church built in 1568 crowns Puig de Missa mountain, whose silhouette presides over the village.

The coastline is a succession of precious beaches. Tourist spots like Cala Llonga or Es Canar stand in contrast to the abundant cultural and historic heritage. At Jesús, the church’s 15th-century altarpiece stands out.

Puig de Missa

Puig de Missa, where the church (16th century) was erected, served as a lookout point to protect
against the Berber invasions. Ibiza’s rural architecture envelops the surroundings and houses the Ethnography Museum. Santa Eulalia del Río is the only village of the Balearic Islands which can presume to possess a flowing river bed.

This is a cosmopolitan municipality with a large foreign colony that now lives on the island; people who have chosen to make this municipality their home.
